What was in your Kfriday box?
I would not have a name for my box, since I was really just expecting this plush! What really surprised me was the freebies of various KPop artists! I really was not expecting freebies, since the plush is from a Japanese anime, but Kfriday has gifts that keep on giving! I am sure that one of my friends would love these assorted items which I can enjoy my large plush!
Any memorable moments from this K-haul?
To be honest, I saw this plush initially as a meme that was floating around the fandom. Admittedly joining it this year and behind on the production/ship out time by two, I had little hope on finding it. Then on Bunjang, there the plush was for sale! However, due to my location and the seller only wanting to ship it within the country (understandable, really), I had to turn to a proxy. After searching online for days (and I mean days), Kfriday came up for me over and over again as reliable and more importantly, their transparency about their fees. I always find online shopping fun, however, something about tracking my packages and talking with representative agents through text adds a bit more excitement. Seeing my box being unboxxed to ensure everything was inside is delightful! It is a once-in-a-lifetime experience bragging to friends about seeing a plush doll and its clothes come out of a box, ahaha. And then watching the package get closer and closer out of the warehouse and to my place, that is always exciting! It is like if Christmas was whenever we wanted, which is admittedly, a joy adults should have. :)
Kfriday Experience and Honest Feedback
I discovered Kfriday through Reddit, when people were discussing Korean proxies. The pros of price transparency and communication really trumped everything else. The thing I enjoyed most, and agreed with the Redditors, is that agents really do walk and talk with the customer every step of the way. They really make you feel heard, and are patient with any question one may have (and trust me, I had many…). If I ever have to buy something from Korea again, Kfriday is my go-to! On the note of speed, packing quality, and website experience, everything is a 10 out of 10! Speed of packing was really fast, and the website, to me, is easy to use. I think clicking around for a bit before submitting your “Order for Me” request, as well as reading the guide, is the best way to go about all of this proxy stuff! :grinning:
Tips, Messages, or Love for Fellow Fans
I am not a K-Pop fan (as seen by my crying Atsumu Miya doll), but my biggest advice for online shopping in general is to do research. Have options! Have backup plans, ask questions. There is no such thing as an irrelevant question, because you are definitely not the only one that has it! With the internet as big as it is, trust me when I say that you are not the first person to ask something “mundane”, nor the last. Who knows, maybe that “mundane” question is something that turns out to be super important! Secondly, this sounds like a parent telling their child this, but BUDGET. Please set aside more money than you think for the item you want. Personally, I added a 150% price to my item when I was setting aside money to buy this item. This is nothing on Kfriday, but I want people to be aware that shipping is REALLY expensive nowadays. I was talking with people online and in-person, and almost everyone gets surprised when shipping a supposed “lightweight item” costs over 3 times its original price. What can I say, fuel is expensive, and, like an airline seat, you need to account for the space your item will take up in a plane. Regarding fniding good deals, well, it’s about communication with people in the community you are in, or just a few extra days of extra research! However, as someone who has been on this planet for a somewhat long time, if it is a “limited edition item”, it may be best to go for it, rather than wait that extra day. Sorry, in an environment with international fans, trust me when I say that you are not the only one looking at something! But please be mindful of your budget as well, LOL. To my favourite group, well, I do not have one, so I just hope everyone is healthy and safe! And finally, to the lovely community that introduced Kfriday to me, and the staff that has helped me along the way, thank you. May we all secure our bias’ merch at a reasonable price.
