SEVENTEEN's DK and Vernon Officially Announce Military Enlistment Dates

SEVENTEEN members DK and Vernon have officially announced their military service schedules, with PLEDIS Entertainment confirming the news through an official Weverse notice on July 27, 2026.

According to the agency, Vernon will begin his mandatory military service on August 20, while DK will enlist as an active-duty soldier on September 8. The announcement marks another important chapter for SEVENTEEN as more members temporarily pause group activities to fulfill South Korea's mandatory military service.

Official Military Service Schedule

PLEDIS Entertainment confirmed the following dates for the two members:

Vernon: Begins mandatory military service on August 20, 2026

DK: Enlists as an active-duty soldier on September 8, 2026

The agency stated that both members will participate in their scheduled activities before entering military service. Once their service begins, they will temporarily suspend participation in SEVENTEEN's group promotions.

Fans Will Still Receive New Content

Although DK and Vernon will be away from official promotions during their service, PLEDIS reassured fans that they have prepared various pre-recorded content that will continue to be released throughout their enlistment period.

This means CARATs can still look forward to seeing new content featuring both members even after they begin fulfilling their military duties.

Agency Requests Fans Not to Visit

PLEDIS Entertainment also asked fans not to visit the military training center or Vernon's place of service.

As with previous enlistment announcements, the agency explained that there will be no official public events on the day of enlistment and requested fans to send their support from afar in order to ensure the safety of both the artists and others at the sites.

SEVENTEEN Enters a New Chapter

DK and Vernon's enlistments continue SEVENTEEN's gradual military service period.

Earlier members, including Jeonghan, Wonwoo, Hoshi, and Woozi, have already begun or completed their military service, while the remaining members continue balancing group and individual activities.

Despite the temporary hiatuses, SEVENTEEN recently renewed their contracts as a full group for the second time, reaffirming their commitment to continuing activities together after completing military service. This has reassured fans that the group's long-term future remains strong.

Final Thoughts

SEVENTEEN's Vernon will begin his mandatory military service on August 20, while DK will enlist as an active-duty soldier on September 8, according to PLEDIS Entertainment's official announcement.

Although the two members will temporarily step away from group activities, fans can still look forward to previously prepared content throughout their service. With SEVENTEEN's commitment to continuing as a full group in the future, CARATs have every reason to anticipate the day all 13 members reunite on stage.
