Temporary Shipping Rate Increase Due to Carrier Surcharges

Mar 9, 2026

Dear Kfriday Members,

Due to rising global fuel prices and new surcharges imposed by international carriers, Kfriday will increase FedEx and UPS shipping rates by approximately 3% starting tomorrow, March 10 at 12:00 PM (KST). K-Packet shipping rates will remain unchanged for now.

Although carrier surcharges increased last week, we initially held our shipping prices steady to help shield our customers from the immediate impact. However, due to continued geopolitical tensions and rising operational costs, maintaining the previous rates is no longer sustainable.

If global fuel prices stabilize and/or these surcharges are lifted, we will lower rates back to current levels. However, if instability continues, rates may remain at the increased level or rise further in line with carrier pricing.

Additionally, due to ongoing geopolitical tensions and recent military developments in the Middle East, some regions have been classified by carriers as restricted or conflict zones, which may result in temporary service suspensions or additional surcharges for certain destinations.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
