BIGBANG Kicks Off 20th Anniversary Tour in Korea

K-pop group BIGBANG has officially kicked off its highly anticipated 20th anniversary world tour with three concerts in South Korea.

The group held the opening shows of “BIGBANG 2026-2027 WORLD TOUR <XX : COSMOS> IN GOYANG” from August 21 to 23, 2026, at Goyang Stadium in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.

The concerts marked BIGBANG's first standalone shows under the group name in nine years. The current three-member lineup—G-DRAGON, TAEYANG, and DAESUNG—performed together throughout the three-day opening run.

BIGBANG Opens Its 20th Anniversary Tour in Goyang

The Goyang concerts officially launched BIGBANG's 20th anniversary world tour.

The three shows took place on August 21, 22, and 23 at Goyang Stadium, with all seats sold out. According to YG Entertainment, the tour is scheduled to include 33 performances across 19 cities, traveling through Asia, North America, Europe, and Oceania.

The tour marks BIGBANG's first full-scale group tour since 2017.

G-DRAGON, TAEYANG and DAESUNG Perform Together

The current BIGBANG lineup consists of:

  • G-DRAGON
  • TAEYANG
  • DAESUNG

The three members performed together throughout the Goyang shows, covering songs from BIGBANG's 20-year career as well as individual solo stages.

The concert setlist included major BIGBANG hits such as “Fantastic Baby,” “Bang Bang Bang,” “Haru Haru,” “Lies,” “Bad Boy,” “Bae Bae,” “Blue,” “Loser,” “Sober,” and “We Like 2 Party.”

Each member also performed solo songs during the concert.

“BiiiG” Receives Its First Live Performance

One of the biggest moments of the Goyang concerts was the first live performance of “BiiiG.”

BIGBANG released the digital single “BiiiG” on August 19 at 6 p.m. KST, marking their first new group song in approximately four years. The release coincided with the group's 20th debut anniversary.

The new song was performed live for the first time during the Goyang tour opener.

“BiiiG” is a high-energy hip-hop track, with G-DRAGON participating in its writing and composition. YG Entertainment described the song as capturing BIGBANG's identity at their 20-year milestone.

A Setlist Spanning 20 Years

The Goyang concerts were designed around BIGBANG's extensive musical history.

The group performed more than 30 songs over approximately two and a half hours, moving between major group hits, newer material, and individual stages.

The setlist included some of BIGBANG's best-known songs, allowing fans to revisit different periods of the group's career.

The performances also included “Home Sweet Home (feat. Taeyang and Daesung)”, G-DRAGON's solo song that became the first song featuring all three current members together following their return.

First BIGBANG Standalone Concerts in Nine Years

The Goyang shows were particularly significant because they marked BIGBANG's first standalone concerts as a group in nine years.

YG Entertainment previously described the 2026 tour as the group's first world tour in nine years. The tour follows BIGBANG's appearance at Coachella 2026, where the three members performed together earlier this year.

The Goyang concerts therefore served as the official beginning of the group's large-scale 20th anniversary activities.

20th Anniversary Celebrations in Seoul

The concert was part of a larger anniversary project surrounding BIGBANG's 20th debut anniversary.

Ahead of the Goyang concerts, BIGBANG held various anniversary events in Seoul from August 14 to 23.

These included a media exhibition at Jamsil AVENUEL, an MD shop at LOTTE WORLD MALL, interactive events based on the tour's “COSMOS” concept, and special lighting installations around Seokchon Lake.

The group also released “BiiiG” on August 19 as part of the anniversary celebrations.

What Is Next for the 20th Anniversary Tour?

The Goyang concerts are only the beginning of BIGBANG's 20th anniversary world tour.

According to YG Entertainment, the tour will feature 33 performances in 19 cities across multiple regions, including Asia, North America, Europe, and Oceania, with the tour continuing into 2027.

Previously announced stops include cities such as Oakland, East Rutherford, London, Taipei, Sydney, Hong Kong, Osaka, Tokyo, Jakarta, and Kaohsiung.

Final Thoughts

BIGBANG has officially begun its 20th anniversary world tour with three sold-out shows at Goyang Stadium in South Korea.

The August 21–23 concerts brought G-DRAGON, TAEYANG, and DAESUNG together for a career-spanning setlist featuring major hits, solo performances, and the first live performance of their new anniversary single “BiiiG.”

With 33 performances across 19 cities planned, the Goyang concerts mark the beginning of a major global celebration of BIGBANG's two decades in K-pop.
