Jennie Wins Big at MMA 2025

Singer JENNIE took home the grand prize at MMA 2025, completely capturing everyone’s attention with her powerful performance. From the moment she appeared on stage, all eyes were on her.

On the 20th, Jennie attended The 17th Melon Music Awards (MMA 2025) held at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul.

With her one-of-a-kind presence and confident stage control, she delivered a performance that truly stood out and earned her the Daesang (Grand Prize) trophy.

Three Awards, One Statement

That night, Jennie won a total of three awards with her first full solo album Ruby, including one of the Daesang categories, Record of the Year, as well as Top 10 and Millions Top 10. It was a clear reminder of her strong position as a solo artist.

A Story Told Through the Stage

Jennie filled the entire stage on her own, leaving a strong impression with artistic elements inspired by Korean culture.

The sequence from “Seoul City” to “ZEN”, and finally “like JENNIE”, felt like a journey—from the outside world, into inner reflection, and toward becoming her complete self. It was immersive and thoughtfully constructed.

Modern Takes on Korean Tradition

The stage also stood out for its modern reinterpretation of traditional Korean elements. During “Seoul City,” a massive veil featuring text from one of the earliest Hangeul lyric collections was used as a symbolic visual. Her outfit, inspired by the silhouette of a chima jeogori, balanced strength and elegance, spreading a sense of Korean beauty across the stage.

Through these details, Jennie clearly expressed her pride and love for Korea.

Experiencing It Live

I was there in person, and honestly, it was so intense I almost forgot to blink.

By the time “like JENNIE” started, the entire venue felt completely united, and the energy was unreal. She was just insanely cool...!

Jennie also mentioned BLACKPINK’s full-group comeback planned for next year, saying, “I miss the members. It gets lonely being alone.”

Her words showed how much affection she still holds for her group.

I can’t wait for BLACKPINK’s comeback next year!
