BLACKPINK’s Lisa Appears at FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony

BLACKPINK member Lisa took the stage at one of the world’s biggest sporting events as she appeared at the opening ceremony of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

On June 12, Lisa performed during the FIFA World Cup opening ceremony held at Los Angeles Stadium (SoFi Stadium) in Inglewood, California, ahead of the Group D match between the United States and Paraguay. She was part of a star-studded lineup that included Katy Perry, Future, Anitta, Rema, and Tyla.

Lisa Performs Official World Cup Song “Goals”

During the ceremony, Lisa joined Brazilian singer Anitta and Nigerian artist Rema to perform “Goals,” a track from the official FIFA World Cup 2026 album.

The song was released in May as part of FIFA’s official music project for the tournament. FIFA previously announced that “Goals” would make its live debut at the Los Angeles opening ceremony, bringing together artists from different regions of the world in a global collaboration.

Photos and videos from the event showed Lisa performing in a white stage outfit while delivering choreography alongside a large group of dancers on the field. The performance concluded with Anitta and Rema joining her on stage for the song’s finale.

Part of a Historic World Cup Opening Celebration

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is being jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, making it the first tournament in history to feature three host nations.

To commemorate the occasion, FIFA organized separate opening ceremonies in Mexico City, Toronto, and Los Angeles. Lisa participated in the Los Angeles event, which served as the United States’ opening celebration before the country's first match of the tournament.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino previously announced that the Los Angeles ceremony would feature a diverse lineup of international artists representing different cultures and musical backgrounds. Lisa was included among the event’s headline performers.

Another Major Global Stage for Lisa

Lisa’s appearance further highlights her growing global presence as both a BLACKPINK member and solo artist.

The performance marked one of the highest-profile international sporting events she has participated in and placed her in front of a worldwide audience of football fans and viewers. Multiple media outlets also noted that she became one of the few K-pop artists to perform at a FIFA World Cup opening ceremony.

The event came shortly after the release of “Goals,” which brought together Lisa, Anitta, and Rema in a cross-cultural collaboration created specifically for FIFA’s official World Cup music campaign.

Final Thoughts

Lisa added another milestone to her international career with her appearance at the FIFA World Cup 2026 opening ceremony.

By performing “Goals” alongside Anitta and Rema at the Los Angeles celebration, the BLACKPINK member helped launch one of the biggest sporting events in the world while introducing FIFA’s official World Cup music project to a global audience. As the tournament continues, her performance remains one of the most talked-about moments from the opening festivities.
