CORTIS Releases Extended Version of 2nd EP “GREENGREEN_playextended”

K-pop boy group CORTIS has released “GREENGREEN_playextended,” an extended version of their second EP “GREENGREEN.”

Released on August 24, 2026, the project adds two new tracks, “PACK IT UP” and “MONEYMONEYMONEY,” to the six songs originally included on GREENGREEN. The release also marks CORTIS’ first anniversary since their debut in August 2025.

CORTIS Expands “GREENGREEN” With Two New Songs

BIGHIT MUSIC announced that GREENGREEN_playextended is an extension of CORTIS' second EP GREENGREEN.

The project includes the six original tracks from GREENGREEN alongside two newly released songs:

  • “PACK IT UP”
  • “MONEYMONEYMONEY”

According to BIGHIT MUSIC, both songs were originally created during the creative process for GREENGREEN but were selected from the group's archive of unreleased material for this extended release. The agency said the two tracks were chosen because they best represent who CORTIS are today.

“PACK IT UP” and “MONEYMONEYMONEY” Were Performed Before Release

Both new songs were first performed live before their official release.

CORTIS premiered “PACK IT UP” and “MONEYMONEYMONEY” during the group's 2026 CORTIS TOUR <PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN> BIRTHDAY PARTY in Seoul on August 22 and 23.

The performances took place shortly before the August 24 digital release, giving fans attending the anniversary concerts an early opportunity to hear the new songs.

The Story Behind “PACK IT UP”

“PACK IT UP” has a particularly personal connection to CORTIS' early days.

The idea for the song originated from a freestyle the members created while packing their bags at their shared accommodation before an overseas schedule.

That moment was captured in the group's own content “Pack Up Bro,” where the members spontaneously exchanged lines and melodies.

For the anniversary concert, footage from the original content was incorporated into a VCR before transitioning into the completed live performance of “PACK IT UP.”

The completed song therefore connects an idea from the group's early days with their current work as artists.

“MONEYMONEYMONEY” Takes a Different Approach

“MONEYMONEYMONEY” explores the members' thoughts about money in a candid and playful way.

The song begins with a simple question about what they would do if they suddenly received a large amount of money.

Rather than simply celebrating wealth, the track presents the members' perspective on the necessity and limitations of money, incorporating experiences from their first year as artists. BIGHIT MUSIC also noted that some of the lyrics draw inspiration from recent experiences, including Paris Fashion Week.

An Extended Release for CORTIS' First Anniversary

The timing of GREENGREEN_playextended is significant.

CORTIS officially debuted with “What You Want” on August 18, 2025, making August 2026 their first anniversary period. The extended release arrived just days after the anniversary and revisits material from the creative period behind their second EP.

Rather than being presented as an entirely new EP, GREENGREEN_playextended expands the existing GREENGREEN project with two additional songs.

Physical “CORTIS Ball” Version

In addition to the digital release, BIGHIT MUSIC has also announced a physical “CORTIS Ball ver.” of GREENGREEN_playextended.

The physical release comes in four versions, each based around the concept of a birthday party. Pre-orders began on August 24 at 1 p.m. KST through the Weverse Global Shop and participating retailers.

This is separate from the August 24 digital release, so it is worth distinguishing the two when discussing the album's release schedule.

“GREENGREEN_playextended” Tracklist

The extended project contains eight songs in total:

  1. REDRED
  2. ACRE
  3. LOST!
  4. FADETO
  5. LUVLUV
  6. GREENY
  7. PACK IT UP
  8. MONEYMONEYMONEY

The project is available digitally, with streaming platforms listing eight tracks.

CORTIS' Growing Global Presence

The release comes during a major period of growth for CORTIS.

The group recently completed its first North American tour, with the shows selling out quickly, and performed at Lollapalooza Chicago on August 1.

CORTIS also received two nominations for the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, including Best New Artist and Best K-Pop. The group is additionally scheduled to perform at the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix on October 9.

Final Thoughts

CORTIS has expanded its second EP “GREENGREEN” with “GREENGREEN_playextended,” adding the two new tracks “PACK IT UP” and “MONEYMONEYMONEY.”

Both songs were created during the GREENGREEN production period, with all five CORTIS members participating in writing and composing them. They were first performed at the group's Seoul birthday concerts before being officially released on August 24.

The release also serves as a snapshot of CORTIS one year after their debut, connecting ideas from their early days with the group's current creative direction.
