SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan and Dino Begin Military Service on October 26

SEVENTEEN members Seungkwan and Dino are beginning their mandatory military service on October 26, 2026. According to their agency, PLEDIS Entertainment, both artists will serve in the Republic of Korea Army’s military band after completing basic military training.

The two members are enlisting on the same day, marking another significant milestone for the 13-member group as its members fulfill their individual military obligations. Although Seungkwan and Dino will be unable to participate in SEVENTEEN activities during their service, the agency has confirmed that fans can continue to connect with the members through content prepared in advance.

Seungkwan and Dino Enlist Together

PLEDIS Entertainment announced the enlistment schedule through an official notice on Weverse on August 10, 2026.

Both Seungkwan and Dino are scheduled to enter the Army training center on October 26. After completing basic military training, they will serve as members of the Army’s military band.

The agency confirmed that the two members would participate in their scheduled official activities before beginning their service. No separate official event is planned for their enlistment day.

PLEDIS also asked fans not to visit the training center in person, explaining that enlistment ceremonies involve many recruits and their families. The request is intended to help ensure a smooth and safe process for everyone involved.

How Their Military Service Will Affect SEVENTEEN

Seungkwan and Dino’s enlistments will further affect the availability of SEVENTEEN’s members for group activities.

PLEDIS Entertainment stated that members cannot participate in SEVENTEEN activities once their military service begins. However, the agency has prepared a variety of content in advance so that the members can continue connecting with CARAT, the group’s official fandom, during their absence.

This means fans may still see previously recorded videos and other prepared content, although such releases should not be confused with the members participating in new group schedules during their service.

The enlistments do not constitute an announcement that SEVENTEEN is disbanding. Rather, they represent a period in which the group’s activities will need to account for members serving in the military.

Where the Other SEVENTEEN Members Stand

Seungkwan and Dino are the latest members to begin military service as SEVENTEEN continues to navigate its members’ individual schedules.

Here is an overview of the members’ reported status as of October 26, 2026:

• Jeonghan: Completed his military service and was discharged in June 2026.
• Wonwoo, Woozi, Hoshi, DK, and Vernon: Serving their military obligations.
• Mingyu: Began alternative service on September 10, 2026.
• Seungkwan and Dino: Beginning Army military service on October 26, with both expected to serve in the military band after basic training.
• S.Coups: Exempted from military service.
• Joshua, Jun, and The8: The three members who are not required to fulfill South Korean military service because of their respective foreign nationalities.

With Seungkwan and Dino beginning their service, all SEVENTEEN members who are subject to South Korean military service will have begun fulfilling their obligations.

Staying Connected With CARAT During Their Absence

PLEDIS Entertainment has asked fans to send their messages of farewell and support through Weverse rather than visiting the enlistment site.

The agency has also emphasized that it will continue supporting the members throughout their service and has prepared content to maintain their connection with CARAT.

For fans, this period marks a change in how they will see the group’s members. While Seungkwan and Dino will be away from regular entertainment activities during their service, the agency’s prepared content offers a way to stay connected until they return.

No separate public enlistment event or additional in-person fan event has been announced for October 26.

Final Thoughts

SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan and Dino are beginning their military service together on October 26, 2026, and are expected to serve in the Army’s military band after basic training.

Their enlistments mark an important transition for the group, as its members continue to fulfill their military obligations at different times. PLEDIS Entertainment has confirmed that the two will not participate in group activities during their service, while previously prepared content will help maintain their connection with CARAT.

As fans send their support to Seungkwan and Dino, the focus now turns to their safe service and eventual return to entertainment activities.
