Stray Kids Score 9th Consecutive No. 1 on Billboard 200, Second Group After The Beatles

Stray Kids have achieved another major milestone on the Billboard 200, with their latest mini album “THIS & THAT” debuting at No. 1.

The achievement marks the group's ninth consecutive No. 1 album on the U.S. chart, extending a record that began with ODDINARY in 2022. It also puts Stray Kids at nine Billboard 200 No. 1 albums overall, tying The Rolling Stones for second place among groups in the chart's history. Only The Beatles, with 19 No. 1 albums, rank higher.

“THIS & THAT” Debuts at No. 1

Stray Kids' 10th EP, “THIS & THAT,” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart dated August 22, 2026.

According to Billboard's chart preview, the album earned 369,000 equivalent album units in the United States during its first tracking week.

Of that total, 357,000 came from traditional album sales, making it Stray Kids' biggest U.S. sales week to date.

The album was released on August 7, 2026, and contains eight tracks, including the title track “THIS & THAT.”

Ninth Consecutive Billboard 200 No. 1

The latest achievement extends an unprecedented streak for Stray Kids.

Every one of the group's first nine albums to enter the Billboard 200 has debuted at No. 1.

The streak began with “ODDINARY” in 2022 and continued with:

  • ODDINARY — 2022
  • MAXIDENT — 2022
  • ★★★★★ (5-STAR) — 2023
  • 樂-STAR (ROCK-STAR) — 2023
  • ATE — 2024
  • HOP — 2024
  • KARMA — 2025
  • DO IT — 2025
  • THIS & THAT — 2026

With “THIS & THAT,” Stray Kids became the first act in Billboard 200 history to have its first nine charting albums all debut at No. 1.

Stray Kids Tie The Rolling Stones

The ninth No. 1 also moves Stray Kids into second place among groups in Billboard 200 history.

Stray Kids now have nine No. 1 albums, tying The Rolling Stones, who also have nine.

Only The Beatles have more, with 19 Billboard 200 No. 1 albums.

So, rather than being simply “second after The Beatles,” the most precise description is that Stray Kids are tied with The Rolling Stones for second place among groups, behind The Beatles.

A Record for 21st-Century Groups

The achievement also gives Stray Kids the record for the most Billboard 200 No. 1 albums among groups in the 21st century.

The group had already set a Billboard record when HOP became their sixth consecutive No. 1 in 2024. Their subsequent releases KARMA, DO IT, and now THIS & THAT have extended that streak to nine.

Strong U.S. Album Sales

The performance of “THIS & THAT” was particularly notable for its sales figures.

The album recorded 357,000 traditional album sales in the U.S. during its first week, contributing the vast majority of its 369,000 equivalent album units.

This represents Stray Kids' largest U.S. sales week to date.

Stray Kids React to the Achievement

Following the chart announcement, Stray Kids expressed their gratitude for reaching another No. 1.

The members said achieving their ninth Billboard 200 No. 1 in their ninth year since debut was especially meaningful and described the result as a great honor.

The group also said they want to continue expanding their musical spectrum and showing their own style through future releases.

Final Thoughts

With “THIS & THAT,” Stray Kids have secured their ninth consecutive No. 1 on the Billboard 200, extending one of the most remarkable chart streaks in K-pop.

The achievement gives the group nine Billboard 200 No. 1 albums overall, tying The Rolling Stones for second place among groups and leaving only The Beatles, with 19, ahead of them.

It also makes Stray Kids the first act in Billboard 200 history to debut each of its first nine charting albums at No. 1, further cementing their record-setting run on the U.S. album chart.
