Stray Kids’ Lee Know to Enlist in the Military in 2027: Everything STAY Needs to Know

It’s official: Lee Know from Stray Kids will begin his mandatory military service in the first quarter of 2027.

The announcement was made by JYP Entertainment on November 5, 2026, marking an important moment for both the artist and STAY around the world.

As the first Stray Kids member scheduled to enlist, Lee Know’s upcoming departure raises questions about the group’s activities, his plans before enlistment, and what fans can expect during this new chapter.

Here’s everything we know so far.

Lee Know’s Military Enlistment Confirmed for Early 2027

On November 5, JYP Entertainment released an official statement confirming that Lee Know is scheduled to fulfill his mandatory military service during the first quarter of 2027.

The agency explained that he may be unable to participate in some activities scheduled for that period. However, fans can still look forward to seeing him before his enlistment, as JYP plans to continue connecting with STAY through various content and individual activities.

For now, the exact enlistment date and further details have not been announced. JYP stated that additional information would be shared separately when available.

This makes Lee Know the first member of Stray Kids to begin his military service.

Lee Know Previously Spoke About His Military Service

Although the official announcement may have surprised some fans, Lee Know had already addressed the subject of enlistment in August 2026.

During a press conference for Stray Kids’ mini-album THIS & THAT, he spoke about his responsibility to fulfill his national defense duties, explaining that he would carry them out faithfully when the time came.

He also reassured fans about the group's future, expressing confidence that Stray Kids would reunite after the members' military service.

His words are particularly meaningful now that the announcement has been made. While a temporary break from group activities is approaching, Lee Know's message offered STAY a reassuring reminder that this is not the end of Stray Kids.

What Does Lee Know’s Enlistment Mean for Stray Kids?

Lee Know's enlistment will naturally affect Stray Kids' activities, particularly during the first quarter of 2027.

According to JYP Entertainment, he may miss some scheduled activities during that period. However, the agency has not announced any broader changes to the group's plans.

Stray Kids debuted in 2018 and have built a huge international fanbase through their music, performances, and distinctive identity. Lee Know is an important part of that journey, known for his powerful dancing, stage presence, and playful personality.

As the group's first member to enlist, his military service also marks the beginning of a new chapter for Stray Kids.

For now, fans can look forward to supporting the group and enjoying Lee Know's activities before his departure.

What Can STAY Expect Before He Enlists?

JYP Entertainment has confirmed that Lee Know will continue to meet fans through different content and individual activities before beginning his military service.

Although no specific schedule has been revealed yet, this means there should still be opportunities for STAY to enjoy new moments with him before his temporary break.

Fans should keep an eye on Stray Kids' official channels for updates about upcoming content, appearances, and any further announcements regarding his enlistment.
