What was in your Kfriday box?
I was looking to enter into a ZB1 fancall and looked to Kfriday for help with making the album purchase and reducing the shipping cost by repacking a box to only include the # of albums and POBs I was looking for.
I was excited to receive my signed album and polaroid from the fancall, and was pleased by how well packaged these special items were by the Kfriday team.
Any memorable moments from this K-haul?
Making an order for a fancall can often be overwhelming, especially if it’s a fancall hosted by a store with a much stronger Korean presence than international.
Kfriday has been a reliable service to help make the fancall purchase, and they have never missed the deadline even when the OFM request is made with a short notice before the fancall purchase window closes.
I was on the fence about trying for this fancall and put in my OFM request letting Kfriday know it’s ok if it doesn’t go through because I put the order in so late. Even if it’s on a weekend Kfriday was able to put in the purchase and I happily was notified that I won the fancall a few days later.
Kfriday Experience and Honest Feedback
I first discovered Kfriday on X (Twitter) as I was trying to figure out how I could purchase Korea exclusive merchandise for my favorite group (Zerobaseone). I have since used Kfriday regularly to help make OFM purchases for fancalls, onsite visits for merchandise at concerts and pop-ups, and as a Korean address for various purchases.
What I enjoy most about Kfriday is how reliable they are when it comes to making a request happen. Kpop merchandise can be tough to get, especially for popular groups and members where stock may not be enough. Kfriday has never failed to secure my order, and is also flexible with any changes I may have in the order I want to make within a reasonable time window.
I also enjoy that Kfriday works even on weekends and holidays for time sensitive OFMs like fancall purchases, and appreciate that they will always respond at least once a day for something time sensitive. The staff is friendly over messaging, and works diligently to satisfy the customer’s request.
Finally, I recently had a very positive experience with Kfriday where a store I ordered albums from did not send me any POBs even though that was part of the listing. Since this was an OFM I made through Kfriday, they helped me reach out to the store and every POB was eventually accounted for. Since I do not speak Korean, I would not have been able to resolve this issue as quickly and efficiently as the Kfriday team was able to. Additionally, I was able to find out the POBs were missing while the package was still in Korea and had a video proving this was the case because of Kfriday’s unboxing service, all of which I would not have had if I just directly received the package myself.
Kfriday has also packaged all of my items safely and securely. With international shipping to the US, especially now with tarriffs, it’s been common for me to receive packages from other sources that look completely beaten up by the time they reach me. Kfriday boxes and packaging is sturdy, and custom declaration is done well so that there are minimal hold ups. I have also found the packaging and forwarding speed to be quick, especially if you request for packing and shipping quickly after the items arrive at the warehouse.
The only aspect where I have had some issues with Kfriday is that there are certain rules that are not clear from the website and only get called out/enforced when you encounter them. For example, I was looking to split a package and paid for the split service fee of 2,500 krw. However, I was then charged an additional 5,000 krw as a priority unboxing fee since I was told that for my case they had to unbox and then split the package. They agreed that this was not explicitly in their FAQs, but still would not budge on charging this additional fee. This happened a few other times with different rules as well, and this pattern of additional fees was a little off putting.
A smaller area of improvement is that the Kakao channel got a little confusing when asking a question since sometimes there will be a pop-up that asks which group you want to send the question to, and then ask you to repeat the question you already sent in. Sometimes the pop-up doesn’t show. This inconsistency makes for a little but of confusion in the process of trying to reach the Kfriday team.
Tips, Messages, or Love for Fellow Fans
One advice that I would give is that different proxy services will charge different amounts and fees, and it’s a good idea to compare a couple to find what works best for your purchase style.
For high volume purchases, the fees from Kfriday become a more negligible percentage and can be worth the cost for the reliability of the service.
I would also highly recommend a proxy service that is able to provide photo and video proof of the contents of the packages while they are still in Korea. It’s much easier to resolve issues with the help of a proxy if you don’t speak Korean yourself!
