📢 Temporary Suspension of Postal Shipping (Kpacket / EMS) to Germany, Norway, Sweden & the Netherlands
Jun 23, 2026Dear Kfriday customers,
Due to upcoming changes in European customs and import rules taking effect on July 1, 2026, the way duties and import taxes are handled for low-value B2C parcels is changing in several countries. Under the new rules, postal shipments to the countries listed below must be sent on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis — meaning duties and import taxes are prepaid at the time of shipping rather than collected from the recipient on delivery.
Affected countries
- Germany (DE)
- Norway (NO)
- Sweden (SE)
- Netherlands (NL)
What this means for your orders
1. Kpacket / EMS — temporarily suspended
Effective immediately, we are temporarily pausing Kpacket and EMS shipping to the four countries above while we update our system to support the new prepaid duties & taxes (DDP) process. We expect this to take approximately 2–3 weeks. Once the update is complete, Kpacket and EMS will resume, with duties and import taxes prepaid at checkout.
2. FedEx / UPS — available as usual
FedEx and UPS shipping continues without interruption, with duties and import taxes paid by the recipient upon delivery (Pay Duties & Taxes on Delivery). If you need to ship to any of the affected countries during the suspension period, please select FedEx or UPS at checkout.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. If you have any questions, please reach out to our customer support team.
Thank you,
— The Kfriday Team
